Submitted on September 14, 2007
1. Cathy Burrier has proposed to present a tips and tricks session in the Contributor Relations track discussing upgrade/new functionality and how PS is being used for MICA’s Advancement.
2. Megan Tepper has proposed a case study to be presented with Betty Enselein and/or Kristana Carlin in the HRMS/Payroll track on how end-to-end HR, benefits, and payroll can be managed well (as I have said before, the fact that our HR/PY offices accomplish this is brag-worthy).
3. Ted Simpson and Rana Silver have proposed to present a tips and tricks session in the Reporting track on the functional aspects of implementing a data warehouse (iStrategy) and the path to the eventual deaccessioning of production-based report writing.
4. Megan Tepper has proposed a case study to be presented with Chris Salone in the Student Financials/Self Service track to show off how MICA will be doing cool self service using the 9.0 Student Center in conjunction with bolt-on parental access and an internal credit card processor.
5. Kathy Greenblatt has proposed a case study in the Student Records/Continuing Education track because I don’t know of another CS operation their size using so much PS functionality in so many ways to support so many programs with so little customization. She will also discuss enhancements to be delivered by the upgrade to 9.0.
6. Rana Silver has proposed a tips and tricks for the Campus Community/Upgrade track on overall 9.0 upgrade lessons learned.
7. Ben Liyanage has proposed a tips and tricks session in the Technical/Portal track detailing his lessons learned while integrating third party applications, Enterprise Portal 9.0, and a public web space.
8. Tracy Posner has proposed tips and tricks session in the Technical/PS Upgrades track detailing her experience with managing multiple upgrades of multiple systems running on the latest software (Oracle Application Server, SQL 2005, PeopleTools 8.49) and hardware (virtual servers, storage area networks, load balancer).
9. Ted Simpson has proposed a case study in the Project Management track.
In addition, Cathy Burrier has been nominated for the HEUG Contributor Relations Product Advisory Group (PAG), Rana Silver has been nominated for the HEUG Campus Community Product Advisory Group (PAG), and Tracy Posner has been nominated for the HEUG Technical Advisory Group (TAG).
